Suarapribumi.co.id – Falsafah budaya adat Minangkabau sangat menarik dipelajari dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Falsafah yang sangat terkenal dan sudah sering didengar publik “Adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi kitabullah” yang artinya adat bersendi kepada agama, agama bersendi pada Al qur’an. Falsafah tersebut agama yang dimaksud adalah agama Islam dan al qur’an merupakan hukum tertinggi yang mengatur dalam ajaran adat Minangkabau. Dari makna yang ada tergambar bahwasanya adat dan agama saling bergandeng dan saling sejalan.
Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah merupakan salah satu kepercayaan atau pedoman hidup yang dipegang teguh oleh masyarakat Minangkabau. Konsep ini menggambarkan bahwa adat yang berlaku di masyarakat harus selaras dengan ajaran agama Islam. Adat Basandi Syarak bermakna bahwa adat yang dianut dan dilaksanakan haruslah selaras dan tidak bertentangan dengan ajaran agama Islam.
Adat yang dilaksanakan haruslah memperhatikan nilai-nilai keagamaan, seperti menjaga kehormatan dan kehormatan orang lain, saling tolong-menolong, serta menghargai sesama manusia.
Sementara itu, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah bermakna bahwa ajaran agama Islam harus menjadi pedoman dan landasan dalam menetapkan adat dan tradisi di masyarakat. Nilai-nilai agama harus menjadi sumber inspirasi dalam menentukan kebijakan dan tata cara hidup yang berlaku di masyarakat. Dalam praktiknya, kepercayaan pada Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah sangat mempengaruhi cara hidup dan budaya masyarakat Minangkabau. Hal ini terlihat dari banyaknya ritual dan tradisi adat yang diiringi dengan bacaan ayat-ayat Al-Quran dan dilaksanakan sesuai dengan ajaran agama.
Kepercayaan pada Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah juga memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat Minangkabau. Hal ini terlihat dari terpeliharanya nilai-nilai agama dan adat yang kaya serta terus dijaga dan diteruskan dari generasi ke generasi. Kepercayaan ini juga memperkuat solidaritas dan persatuan di antara masyarakat Minangkabau, serta memperkuat identitas mereka sebagai suatu kelompok yang unik dan berbeda.
